Alkalinity Up (Buffer) acts as a buffer to help stabilize your pH. Alkalinity represents the number of bicarbonates, carbonates, and hydroxides present in the water. If these are out of balance this changes the degree of resistance to changes in the pH.  If the alkalinity is not balanced correctly chlorine added can be wasted. Chlorine relies heavily on pH and alkalinity being in the recommended ranges to work effectively.

The range for the TA (Total Alkalinity) level is between 80 – 150 ppm, however, check as it is different for the various pool surfaces.

Dosage:  200g will raise the TA by 10ppm per 10,000 litres  (Dosage rates indicated are to be used as a guide only)
